I am running Ubuntu 18.04 and some time ago I have installed the HPLIP software from the official web site because the one in the repository was not working properly. Afterwards I had no problem, until today. Now if I try to perform a regular upgrade I am getting the following error:

have you any suggestion on how to solve this?
I had the same issue and resolved it by reinstalling the HP printer driver.
Go to: the HP developers page for HPLIP.
Select your distro and select Download HPLIP
Make the file executable:
Run the file and follow the prompts.
