The GUI application displayed as Software and Updates Configuration as well as the GUI application displayed as Software Updater does not work. The first one (Configuration) does not show anything on the desktop; the Software Updater shows You stopped the check for updates and the Settings button thereunder does not show anything on the desktop. As the GUI "icon" allows one to find the actual programs being invoked, I manually did so in a GUI terminal application with the results in the attached JPEG
