After distribution upgrade there is no software in the taskbar

I did a distribution upgrade from 20.04 to 22.04

Took a while, but no big problems. I am using 22.04 now.

Now, it doesn't matter what software I search for in the taskbar, I get:

Sorry, there is nothing that matches your search

For example, I can start gimp or bluefish from the command line, but nothing shows in the taskbar.

Also, it says I have no documents, videos, photos, or anything really!

Anyone have a tip how to fix this?
