I'm having some trouble getting efax to work on Ubuntu server 12.04.1 LTS Sometimes fax send gives a 'terminated by signal' error and sometimes it appears to work, but it always gives the warning: 'only read 0 byte(s) from input file, assuming text'. Nothing ever comes through on the other end.

I got around the problem by replacing the defective efix binary:
