You can define a new profile, and switch to the defined profile to change the window size.
Edit -> Preferences -> Profiles

, you might find a way to configure it under "Apps".I just upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04, and the resize menu has been moved to a sub-menu, and for the life of me, I can not figure how to trigger the keyboard shortcuts.
I now have the following aliases:
I subsequently switched to the Kubuntu desktop, and
gnome-terminal
works as it used to.
