A fix has been issued as per USN-3455-1 . You should update your system with
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
. The relevant versions for currently supported releases:hostapd 2.4-0ubuntu9.1
wpasupplicant 2.4-0ubuntu9.1
hostapd 2.4-0ubuntu6.2
wpasupplicant 2.4-0ubuntu6.2
hostapd 2.1-0ubuntu1.5
wpasupplicant 2.1-0ubuntu1.5
You should see an update of
wpasupplicant
