I would like to disable automatic updates in kubuntu 20.04. I disabled it on Muon package manager, but Discover still getting updates and showing notifications. Thank you.
I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 and need a foolproof way to permanently block Tumblr blogs from being accessed on my system. Browser extensions such as Blocksite arent effective even when using 'wildcards' such as *.tumblr.com
Elsewhere, I have seen an (outdated) suggestion to block static.tumblr.com and 78.media.tumblr.com, but this no longer works against Tumblr at time of writing, i.e. even with these domains blocked, I can browse a given Tumblr blog without interruptions.
Is it possible to install AdBlock Plus, uBlock or something equivalent via terminal?
I am using Ubuntu 18.10 and want to install adblocking extension for Firefox 64. I could easily do that by launching Firefox and a few mouse clicks, but I need to repeat this operation on quite many computers and am seeking a way to automate it.
I would like to install some Firefox add-ons, also called 'extensions' or 'plugins', like for example Adblock Plus, Ubufox or Greasemonkey.
Should I install them from the Mozilla website, using the Firefox browser, or should I search Firefox in the Software Center and then select the interesting applications ?
I suppose the issue is about how the extensions are kept up-to-date. If your answer is 'via the Software Center', how can I migrate well from my former add-ons without losing all my preferences?
I want to install adblock for Firefox and I see it is in Synaptic.
Should I install it with Synaptic or the regular way with the Firefox add-on manager? Does it make any differences at all?
