I am using qBitTorrent 5.0.4 but launching it from the AppImage.
How do I assign Magnet File links to this "app", as there is no "installed" version of qBitTorrent on the system.
Do I need to install qBitTorrent with apt-get (or whatever), associate it, then delete it using purge, or do I install it, associate it and leave it there?
The only reason I'm using the AppImage is that the version is later than the one you get by using apt-get (or whichever command you use to install it).

New linux user, currently running on Ubuntu 20.04.
Double-clicking an AppImage file on desktop or using "right click > Open" does nothing and doesn't display any errors either, however double-clicking it from the file manager or running it from terminal works. Any ideas why?
From what I've read, an Appimage file is a compressed application along with all of its resources, and when run it is auto-mounted and then executed.
I want to inspect the resources and files inside an Appimage file I've downloaded, without actually running the Appimage.
How can I do this?
What is the best practices to leave this kind of file? I dont want to leave it on /Downloads folder
By popular request, I'm asking how do AppImages, which are read-only and stay compressed, store their settings.
