How do I add folder to Ubuntu 18.04.1 Nautilus Bookmark list?
Ironically* I can do this via Open Project inside Eclipse, but Nautilus seems to give no option - not in right-click-menu, no Settings option, ...
(*) This is ironic as I cannot add Eclipse to the left hand Desktop Shortcuts - another problem with 18.04.1
I'd like to be able to click on an icon in the Firefox search-bar to immediately bookmark a URL.
I already know that I can click on the ... "Page actions" icon to select the "Bookmark This Page" option, and I know I can drag the URL from the left onto the bookmarks bar to achieve this.
However, is there a way to replace the "Save to pocket" icon and replace it with a "Bookmark" icon?
I am using Firefox 63 on Ubuntu 18.10.

I came from Xfce, switching to Gnome. When I opened Nautilus I missed my Desktop icon:
I was able to add it as a bookmark but this puts it down in the bookmarks section. I was wondering if there is a way to get it back as in another user's account on the same machine (see below).
The Videos/Music/Pictures icons may be missing because I deleted the folders they point to (recreating them didn't bring the icons back). But the Desktop folder is still there.
I found some bookmarks locations in my home, but none of seems to contain those special bookmarks showed at the top in the location side bar.
Any idea how to get the icon back?
Update: I found out, that I can control appearance and paths of the icons in the space's sidebar (that's the name of the desired icons) by editing ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs. There also existed an entry for Desktop. I can edit it and it some effect (e.g. give my Videos folder the icon of the Desktop). But the icon still does not show up!
I'm using three Ubuntu systems in an irregular pattern, and since I use Chrome/Chromium anyway and have a Google account, I decided to make my life a bit easier and sync them.
Now I am having a problem: When I want to remove bookmarks from my lists, they not only come back when I switch the machine, they double. By now, I have up to ten identical bookmarks in the list and I spend a lot of time scrolling over them.
Is there any way to remove them permanently?

There seems to be no configuration dialog for the Places menu in the panel.
Yes, I know how to add, remove or change the order of the bookmarks in nautilus.
But I want to use folders and subfolders for the bookmarks. With more than 20 entries the nautilus bookmarks and the places menu become inconvenient.
