With pdfbook2 it is possible to convert a pdf from A4 format to one which one can print onto A4 format, but then fold the pages in the middle and get a booklet of A5 format. I would like to go one step further, and reduce this to A6: Print on four pages onto one sheet of A4 paper, cut it in the middle, and then fold the resulting A5 paper to get a booklet of A6 size. pdfbook2 doesn't seem to have an option for this, running it twice does not produce the desired result, neither does printing the result with two pages per sheet of paper.
Until I upgraded to 20.04 I used Gnome-Manual-Duplex to print front to back on my HP laserjet.
However this package depends on python-gamin
and python-cups
which are no longer available in the repos.
How do I re-install Gnome-Manual-Duplex and its dependencies in Focal Fossa?
Our new printer (Toshiba e_STUDIO 3515) ignores the printing side, printing always on the long side, whatever selected in the printing dialogue.
Fine, but when I print two pages per sheet I prefer having the double printing on the shortest side..
Note also that while printed documents with Evince or Libreoffice have this problem, printing from Okular works fine, respecting the printing side.
Anything I can do to solve this problem ?
I just installed an Epson XP-342 on my Ubuntu 18.10 system.
I used Epson's drivers from here, the Epson website.
Everything works fine (printing, scanning) apart from manual duplex.
It is blocked in all printer dialogs and in printer setup.
Is it possible to somehow enable it?
I have recently brought HP LaserJet 1106 printer. I have installed it and it is working fine. But problem is I want to print on both side of the paper. But I am not getting any option to do that. I am not even getting the option to print only odd or even pages. Can any one help me in this regards. Thanks in advance.
