I want to dual boot my system with Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20.04 but I don't want to disable secure boot.
I came across and installation guide, in which GRUB bootloader was installed inside the root directory and then using easy BCD grub option was added to Windows bootloader.
But my PC runs UEFI, and therefore, I cannot run Easy BCD. Is there any other way to achieve the same result?
I installed easybcd app to change grub bootloader but accidentally deleted windows boot entry , now in the grub option ubuntu and windows boot manager appears. When i try to boot windows by Windows boot manager option it says to repair the pc. Can i fix it without repairing?
System: Intel Core i3 8100 processor, GIGABYTE H310M-H UEFI Motherboard, Windows 10 on SSD.
Events sequence: I installed Ubuntu (18.04 LTS) on my Windows 10 PC, on a HDD. Windows is on SSD. Ubuntu identified SSD as sdc and HDD as sda. Didn't want GRUB to take over, so I recovered windows bootloader and the system started directly logging into windows. Then I installed EasyBCD, added a GRUB2 entry for Ubuntu with "Automatically detect and load" drive option. Finally I selected "Use Metro bootloader" and saved the settings. The PC shows options for Windows 10 and Ubuntu at startup on a windows style screen. So far so good.
Problem: During startup, if I select Windows 10, the system boots into windows without any problem. But when I select Ubuntu, the system seems to go into a reboot (screen goes black), gives a POST like beep and then shows me the default GRUB screen (which I thought I had replaced with metro bootloader). This screen again asks me to choose between Ubuntu options and windows 10. Now I have to select Ubuntu once more and the system launches Ubuntu.
Question: How can I make the system boot directly (preventing additional GRUB screen) into Ubuntu once I select Ubuntu on windows bootloader? Is there a way to prevent the apparent reboot? And most important, what is causing this behavior?
I installed Ubuntu after Windows 8.1 on different partitions. Then I installed EasyBSD. I added an Ubuntu partitions entry. Then I selected "grub2" but Ubuntu can not open, the computer just waits.
I reset then tried to load Ubuntu but Windows8.1 boot manager not grub2 comes up.

I had Ubuntu on my laptop a few days ago but a professional installed it for me. Soon after I got it from the guy I messed it up. I uninstalled Ubuntu with easybcd and now I'm scared it will complicate things.

I'm sure I downloaded Ubuntu to disk on this site:

And got this file:
ubuntu-11.10-server-amd64
which I burned to disk.
When I put the cd in my laptop it shows me a wubi.exe file.
When I reboot with the cd it boots straight to windows 7.
What's wrong? Teach me
