I noticed that in My Ubuntu 20.04, I have some duplicate packages (from Ubuntu 18.04): Calculator, System monitor, etc. For instance, when I search for System monitor, here is the result:
In addition, the old packages appear with garbled-characters, when I open the old version it appears as follows:
However, the versions from Ubuntu 20.04 show up properly without that issue.
How can I get rid of those duplicated packages?
I need multiple calculators at the same time. But when I click on the calculator icon it just refers to the one that is already opened.

On prior versions of Ubuntu GNOME, I could type basic expressions into the gnome search bar and get the answer. Ever since I upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04 however, I cannot; it shows no results.
I've already found this answer but GNOME Calculator is already installed on my machine and still no luck. Any ideas?
The below answer used to work, but seems to no longer under Gnome 3.28.4. The best alternative I've found so far is to install this extension, but it is a poor substitute.
I have installed vanilla GNOME shell in Ubuntu 18.04 and the icon of Calculator is missing.
How can I fix this?
If I press the calculator button in my keyboard, the gnome calculator app doesn't appear. I have double checked that the shortcut is ok in the settings app keyboard bindings config pane.
