I'm encountering an error using hostapd and most precisely with dnsmasq: when I edit my /etc/dnsmasq.conf and I refresh it, I have an error message :

Hostapd works, I can see and connect my smartphone to Internet, but google pages don't load and it's written "This site is inaccessible" I think so the problem is dnsmasq, and that it's due to these error messages... Thanks for your help !!

I am cross-compiling hostapd for openwrt. I am getting fatal error: netlink/genl/genl.h: No such file or directory. I already have libnl-3.2.24 installed. If i directly compile (not cross-compile) then hostapd is compiling properly without any error.
I wanted to use my desktop with a wired ethernet connection (eth0) to operate my "TP-LINK TL-WN722N" USB Wifi Adapter (wlan0) as a non-adhoc (infrastructure mode) access point for my Android to connect to.
After MUCH searching, I finally found a method (spread across many websites) that does most of what I need...

All of that allows me to open up a Terminal and execute:
sudo hostapd -B /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf
to have a functioning access point that my Android and all other WiFi devices can connect to.
