Why Ubuntu does not allow me to select and upload an image to Instagram from the second hard drive on dual boot system? Only workaround I have found is to move the image to Ubuntu image folder on the drive where Ubuntu is installed and then upload it from there. The other hard drive where Windows is installed is otherwise recognized and works, but in this particular function it can't be used to upload images. I tried through the Firefox Instagram extension and through the separate Instagramport app. Same error on both.

Edit: The error message:

"Could not read the contents of.." and "Error opening directory '/media/my**** .. permission denied" ****=name of the drive

I wanted an Instagram client that would run on my Ubuntu 19.10 Gnome desktop; I found out that the app "Instagraph" can be installed with snap, so I went ahead and did so using:

sudo snap install instagraph 

After this, I ran the app from the command line so that I could see if any errors occurred:

instagraph

After resetting my Instagram password via email authentication and the Instagram website, closing the app and rerunning it from the command line several times, I kept getting the same error, and no login. Instagram prompted me with several security codes and messages that an unidentified device was attempting to log into my account, and asking me to affirm that it was me. I did so. Still unable to log in.

As someone who avoids using Snap whenever possible, and who may/may not have a full understanding of the syntax involved, I'd like to know if anyone has a fix that I could run, or if anyone else's encountered the same issue before and solved it. Thank you.

Is there any app for ubuntu to use instagram with full features such as direct messaging ?

I am trying to run IGdm.appimage (which I downloaded from http://igdm.me/).

I try to run it via terminal and it show me this error

So I've searched through every possible tutorial I could find (archon, arc welder, chromeos-apk, genymotion, anbox, shashlik) and I'm pretty sure i've gotten the programs themselves to work (correct me if there is a way on any of these), it's just none of them seem to be able to run android instagram. Any suggestions? I want something I can post and send direct messages with.
