Is there an easy way to give (regular) Ubuntu the slick green / black color scheme used in Linux Mint's operating systems, whilst keeping all the "regular" Ubuntu stuff (GNOME, the Dock, etc...)?

Surely there is a Terminal command out there somewhere that could achieve this?

I don't want to change to Linux Mint though. I'm not a fan of the Microsoft-style user interface and I don't trust the security of Linux Mint, so I just want the color scheme System-wide, if possible.

I tried to create a Windows 10 USB boot medium with WoeUSB. I formatted a USB drive with an NTFS partition, but WoeUSB complains with:

Installation failed!

I've also tried to start WoeUSB via command line, did not work.

sudo woeusb --partition Win10_1809Oct_English_x64.iso /dev/sdb

My iso is located in: home/sawyer/Downloads/Win10_1809Oct_English_x64.iso

Thanks in advance! I've been trying to get windows installed for three nights now, so any help towards that goal is greatly appreciated.

I have installed Linux Mint and now I want to change it to Ubuntu but I have a lot of apps and information on it.

Is there any way to get Ubuntu without losing data? Or how to back up my information and apps, then install a fresh Ubuntu and copy the backup on it?

I tested Mint MATE 18 and the main menu had the search and quick launch feature working with MATE Desktop 1.14.1.

I just upgraded my Ubuntu MATE 16.04.1 to ver. 1.14.1 of MATE Desktop with mate-menu 5.7.1-1 and there is no main menu quick launcher. How can I get quick launcher working?

I install the MintMenu and i am starting to like it but i miss a feature i liked in the ubuntu "application - places - system" menu.

I cannot find my recent documents

it is possible to add/show the "recent documents" in the MintMenu?

i did:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/mintmenu && sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mintmenu

i am using ubuntu 10.10
