I can mute and unmute the microphone just fine, but the white light on the mic mute button (F4) is on at all times. How can I make it respond to the muted/unmuted state of the microphone, or even just turn it off completely? It's very bright.
I've only just started using Ubuntu w/ dual monitors.
I tried running a command to play audio through both monitors but it didn't work. Now I'm stuck with the sound muting every time I pause/restart etc. as it switched to "digital output (S/PDIF) - Family 17h (Models 00h- 0fh) HD Audio Controller"
How do I remove this from my output devices?
Thanks in advance!
I've just installed Ubuntu 19.10 on my new PC and I notice there's no audio.
I read a lot of guides and solutions on Google but no one fits for me.
I have a "MSI x570 gaming plus carbon pro wifi"
Ask me for more details if needed. Any help? :)
I would like to mute my laptop everytime its lid closes by running the following command:
amixer set Master mute
I found a similar question here asked more than 2 years ago which didn't work for me on Ubuntu 17.10. I also found this documentation called LaptopLidAndDockScripts for running general scripts when certain events happen, but it is a little cumbersome. Is there a quick way to add this feature?
