I want to change the appearance (size, shape and color) of the mouse pointer.
What options are available for me?
I had Ubuntu 16.04 and suddenly I couldn't log in anymore. Each time I would try to log in, the screen went black and ask again for my password. I was stuck in a login loop. I updated to Ubuntu 18.04 and it fixed my problem, but now the mouse cursor is invisible. I can still click things, except I can't see the cursor.
I use Ubuntu with Parallels in my MacOs High Sierra.
After selecting Red glass in large size for pointer appearance using Unity Tweak Tool in Ubuntu 16.04.1 64bit on System 76 Kudu laptop, the arrow initially appears correctly. However, so far I have found it reverts to a small Red glass arrow in the following situations:
When I shutdown the computer (it took a long time to do this after this change) and then restarted.
When I was almost through with increasing the font sizes by one point in all the fields for Fonts i.e. it seemed to hold initially but then reverted. I have since returned all font changes back to default, but would like to be able to make changes there if necessary.
I am attempting to set up the laptop to suit my particular sight and other physical impairments, being familiar with doing this on a Windows 7 32 bit Dell Vostro laptop.
There's an option for Ubuntu's mouse that says 'Show position of the mouse when the Control key is pressed.'. This function is required permanently enabled for a certain script I run, but on the other side it makes Blender 'Control' key not to work (as in Ctrl+Z, which is annoying) nor in some other apps (like the game Limbo). So, how can I solve this problem?
There are three solutions I can think of, but I don't know how to implement any of them.
show-mouse
in a terminal would be great. Couldn't find anything through google though.Thank you so much!
PS, the solutions here didn't work for me.
Ubuntu 12.04
I've downloaded some nice themes, icon packages, and pointers from sites like gnome-look. Now what do I do? Where else can I get these kinds of things?
