The Night Light filter, also known as Blue Light filter or Color Temperature filter, is a bit hard to find in Ubuntu 20.04. The Night Light tab is now in shown in the title bar, next to the Displays tab. These 2 tab labels look like they are just a title, but in fact they can be clicked on. (BTW it's Settings -> Devices -> Displays: Night Light in Ubuntu 18.04.)
I recently updated my Ubuntu 19 to 20.04 and started experiencing strange issue: when I open sound settings and switch "output device" while my headphones are plugged in - sound goes out of headphones no matter what device I have chosen. The only thing, which seem to help, is plugging off my headphones.
This was not the case with Ubuntu 19. I could easily switch between built-in speakers on my laptop and headphones in the settings and it worked fine.
Has anyone else encountered such issue? Is there a way to fix it?
I believe my Ubuntu was 19.10 (but I am not sure about the minor version). My kernel seem unchanged after upgrade - 5.4.0-29-generic. The hardware, obviously, haven't changed either.
I have recently created an Ubuntu 12.04 partition on my Windows 7 laptop. When installing it, I switched to "high contrast" mode, which has rather large cursors (by large I mean about twice as large and thick as they should normally are).
Now I have successfully installed the partition, the large cursors have stuck around even after exiting this high contrast mode, but only when I am hovering over stuff e.g. hovering over text inputs, links, and when resizing windows. All of these cursors are too large. They cursor is only normally sized when the computer should be displaying the normal mouse pointer.
Does anyone know how I might go about fixing this?
Is there a way to save my monitor settings? I have an external monitor at work, but each morning i have to plug it in, rearrange the windows from being side by side to being on top of each other. Can I just save this?
