Questions[upload](ubuntu)

I recently installed Kubuntu 19.10 (and Plasma Desktop 5.18) on my main laptop. I installed the necessary packages like

kubuntu-restricted-extras

kubuntu-restricted-addons

And also installed Google Chrome and made it my default browser.

The problem I'm having is that, I can't upload some specific file formats like PDF's, the service that I use the most is Google Drive, and every time i try to upload i file (drag-n-drop, or selecting it), I get an error which is File unreadable or Rejected by server, this also happens on WhatsApp Web.

But i tried to do the same things on Firefox and it works just fine, so I think is definitely a Google Chrome problem

I want to mention that I have enabled the GDrive integration in Dolphin, and I can upload files through Dolphin just fine.

I saw an answer to a similar problem on a forum, and it said:

The path where the documents were saved contained a letter with a caron. I removed it and it all works now!

But I don't know what does that refer to.

I had previously installed Ubuntu 19.10 (Gnome) and never had an issue, so i think is a problem about how KDE handles files and paths. Ithink is a problem between Dolphin and Chrome, because Firefox uses the GTK file chooser

I have a Google Drive directory called Ward.

I'm using gdrive, which is an otherwise wonderful tool, but I can't get it to upload to a directory. For example this works (my utility is called gdrive not the usual drive):

gdrive upload filename.pdf

This will send the file to the Google Drive home directory.

But trying the instructions from gdrive help upload,

gdrive upload -p Ward filename.pdf

throws an error file Ward not found.

I'm new to Ubuntu therefore I don't know if this issue is already resolved or not. I'm unable to upload any file in any browser. When I did speed test with okla downloading is 10 Mbps but uploading is not working.

Therefore I need to change my kernel. Is it?

I am having problems increasing my size limit to upload files into my wordpress site. I am running 18.04 on a vps server with with Nginx, MariaDB and PHP-FPM.

I checked php by making a file to call phpinfo()

It shows the location on the php.ini file (/etc/php/7.2/fpm/php.ini ) However after I edit it, and change the upload_max_filesize up, and restart the ngixn server, it does not change from 2M.

What am I missing?

I'm new to Linux, and this might seem ridiculous to ask. Whenever I press to upload or download a file from Chrome, the Files window seems to appear outside reach, which precludes me from selecting the file or the directory. How can I bring it in reach? If I go to the top left corner and click activities, I can see the Files window is there together with the browser, but it's unreachable.
