Questions[vnstat](ubuntu)

I have a metered internet connection that resets on the 17th of each month.

I'm using vnstat to monitor my bandwith. I just installed it from the repo. I'd like it to show me how much I have used from the 17th on but I can't get it to work.

This is what I'm doing:

vnstat -b 2024-04-17 -e today

or

vnstat -b 2024-04-17 -e 2024-04-22

but the output is identical to vnstat without options.

I'm just a simple user, not a super user. Thank you for your time.

When changing the interface with the command vnstat --iface it shows me the following error Error: Interface for --iface missing.

As in the above picture, the integration for data usage is acheived by the following code

now what i want to do is to replace one of the perimeter to " session" data usage so that i can monitor in realtime, the amount of data i m consuming in my current session

so far i can only use

vnstat -l 1 -i wlp3s0

to monitor live sessional data from my network (on terminal).. can anyone help me integrate this code into conky? Thanks.

I am using vnstat for first time and I am getting this error while using vnstat -d

Error: Unable to read database "/var/lib/vnstat/eth0": No such file or directory

The file in /var/lib/vnstat are

 enp1s0  wlp2s0

These are my network interfaces.

I can understand it using eth0 file but how can I changed default file to enp1s0 from eth0.

When I use sudo vnstat -u -i eth0, I get error

Error: Unable to read database "/var/lib/vnstat/eth0": No such file or directory Error: Unable to get interface "eth0" statistics. Only available interfaces can be added for monitoring.

On vnstat I can get the month, day, hour or top 10 days network usage. Is there anyway that I can get the network usage from specific date on the terminal? by vnstat or another tool?

I want to have the usage from specific date to the current date or between two dates not only a specific date.
