Since upgrading to 24.10 my login screen is flashing on and off, though mostly off for long periods of time, and when it's on it's barely ever as long as a second.
Sometimes I get a message on my black screen saying out of range.
I can still login by typing my password as thankfully focus defaults to the password input box, and once I get to the desktop things are fine.
Any ideas how I can stabilize my login manager or is this a known un-fixable bug atm?
I installed jellyfin via flatpak but decided it's not for me so I removed it using the flatpak uninstall command.
Next I installed embyserver again from flatpak but every time I start embyserver which uses the same port as jellyfin the jellyfin server responds on port 8096.
How do I get rid of jellyfin when flatpak no longer sees it as installed?
I get this error in the openrazer snake application splash screen as an unknown error.
I assume because it's given such prominence it's important but I can't find any information anywhere on how to setup this service. There's no messages in any error logs regarding bamf.
Distro is kubuntu 22.04
Can someone point me to the documentation on setting this service up or just give me simple instructions for it please.
EDIT: I didn't add enough information here out of frustration.
I should have said I know which package provides the service, and that it is installed but the problem I had was that the service just wasn't starting.
Thanks to @muru I just needed to start the service as a user service.
Not much more to say as I can't see anything in any logs I've checked to indicate any errors. I don't run any servers or virtual machines that need shutting down. It used to shutdown almost instantly but now seems to hang for a couple of minutes on/in plymouth for no apparent reason and I'm at a loss where to check to see what's causing the hang.
