I am running brackets v14 and the plugin manager is not loading after a fresh install of brackets (through the software center).

In the debug tools I am seeing the following error:

NodeConnection.js:84 WebSocket connection to 'ws://localhost:37055/' failed: Error in connection establishment: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Any ideas on how to debug this? (in the software center I see many reports with regards to the plugins not working, but no solution so far)

My node version is: 10.15.2

I just don't understand what to do without extension manager It would make my work very easy if it works.

You can search for and install/uninstall extensions using File -> Extension Manager (or click the "plugin block" icon on the toolbar). You can even temporarily disable extensions and re-enable them later from the Extension Manager.

Problem 1 : I installed Ubuntu 18.10, after successful installation, i tried to install Brackets (version 1.13) using Terminal .
I used command to install 'Brackets' from terminal is...

gdebi Brackets.Release.1.13.64-bit.deb

but output throws an error...

Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Reading state information... Done
This package is uninstallable Dependency is not satisfiable: libcurl3

I used above command in previous versions of 'Ubuntu' and it installed without any error .

Problem 2 : After problem 1 i tried to install Brackets from "Ubuntu's software center" and i installed successful .
But when i open it, the sidebar of Brackets is not working . when i opened a folder through 'Brackets' in which all my program files are present then i saw that the 'sidebar' doesn't display any files .

What is wrong here....

I updated to Ubuntu 18.10 earlier today. The installation worked without any problems. So far everything seems to be working as expected.

For some reason however, after opening both Brackets and Atom, I noticed that a lot of their fonts have been inexplicably changed to a monospaced font that is quite hard to read.

• I tried changing my system fonts with Gnome Tweaks.
• I tried switching back to the default Ubuntu theme.
• I tried uninstalling and reinstalling
• I tried changing the font settings from the programs themselves (they had no option to do so)

If I install Atom from the .deb package on their website the fonts do go back to normal, but of course that way I won't get the commodity of automatic updates.

Brackets on the other hand does not install from the website-provided deb package, so I'm unsure on what to do there.

Here's how the programs look:

I am using Brackets in Ubuntu 14.04. Ubuntu gets the following error when trying to open a file in Brackets from the terminal.

I tried changing directories to the location of developers.html with cd and running brackets developers.html with sudo and without sudo, but the result is the same.
