I am looking for a mail client that allows me to only see the focused mails from Outlook. I have tested all different type of mail clients available in Ubuntu. But all of them don't give the options to show only the focused inbox. So then I get all the mails in the inbox. Which shows a lot of junk mail that I don't need.
My "Settings/Preferred Application" is set to Evolution, yet when there is an email link in a web page Thunderbird is activated. I did some Internet research but could not find solution. I do not have 'Activities/Details' menu or similar. This is xubuntu 18.04 with Firefox as web browser and Evolution as email client. I abandoned Thunderbird because Lightning started to loose home calendar and I had to remove and re-install Lightning. Fortunately, my calendar entries were still there.
I have been using Evolution. But it does not support right-to-left. The best one can do is to try "right alignment", but that does not type punctuation like dot and comma at the right place.
I'm trying to set up Thunderbird with secondary mail account and want it to leave messages on server. There was such a feature, at least in Windows earlier, like this:
But I can't see those tick box in current setup of the newest Thunderbird in Ubuntu 18.04:
How to set the email client in proper way?
Update:
If you want to setup POP protocol in Thunderbird, you may do it manually this way if you need it.
I tried to install mailspring, because thunderbird icons don't work with my pc (the icons and text size isn't taken from system preferences)
But when when launching the snap, I get the error:
/snap/mailspring/244/bin/desktop-launch: line 185: /home/USERNAME
/snap/mailspring/common/.config/user-dirs.dirs: No such file or directory
cp: cannot create regular file '/home/USERNAME/snap/mailspring/common/.config/': Not a directory
/snap/mailspring/244/bin/desktop-launch: line 188: /home/USERNAME/snap/mailspring/common/.config/user-dirs.dirs.md5sum: No such file or directory
/snap/mailspring/244/bin/desktop-launch: line 188: /home/USERNAME/snap/mailspring/common/.config/user-dirs.locale.md5sum: No such file or directory
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "appmenu-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
^C
I then have to ^C
my way out.
Any ideas how to get this snap to run?
I'm on ubuntu, with the mate desktop installed later.
