Questions[emulation](ubuntu)

I didn't use to have this problem but lately, while I have Google's Android emulator running, my system audio (not talking about the emulator's audio) sounds very distorted and metallic. Sometimes it will work fine for a minute and then start to sound messed up again. As soon as I shut down the emulator, everything sounds fine. I'm having this problem whether I use speakers or headphones. I'm on Ubuntu 18.04 with the latest version of Android Studio.

Does anybody have any clue as to a fix or workaround?

Edit: As a workaround I'm starting the emulator from the terminal with

emulator -noaudio -avd my_avd

This seems to fix the sound issues but is obviously not an ideal solution.

I have downloaded PCSX from The Ubuntu Software Center and the BIOS file from http://www.emuparadise.me/biosfiles/bios.html (PSX BIOS Pack (15 Images)). When I try to run an .iso file or from the CD-drive (yes, the games are original), the screen turns black and then it crashes after 5 seconds or so. Any ideas?

I want to get a program to run Mac programs on Ubuntu 14.04. There is WINE for running Windows programs but I couldn't find a program to run Mac programs.

I'm not normally a fan of mac software implementations, but recently I saw a copy of Parallels Desktop for mac that I was very much impressed by. I looked into parallel's offerings for Linux (I was initially excited that they developed for *nix) but found that it has essentially the same features as VMware.

Does anyone know if there is a software solution for linux that offers the level of integration that the current Parallels Deesktop for mac has? I looked into wine for the programs I want to run and was very frustrated. I feel like all the ratings in their application database were fabricated honesty. I've tried wine once every Ubuntu release since 8.10 and have never gotten it to work stably.

PCSX2(playstation 2 emulator) won't work under Ubuntu 11.10 x64. It worked when I was running Ubuntu 11.10 x86.

When I downloaded the pcsx2-0.9.8-r4594-linux.tar.gz I extracted it in the home directory and run the launch_pcsx2_linux.sh file, it closed immediately. When I open GNOME-terminal and typed in: ./launch_pcsx2_linux.sh I got the following error:

./pcsx2: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

When I type sudo apt-get install libwxbase2.8-0 it says that it is already installed.
