Ubuntu 20.04 LTS installed with Hyper-V Manager. I have assigned it 4 processor cores and 12GBs of RAM. I have run through several forums and tutorials and I haven't found any solution that would actually help with the issue. The performance is so sluggish, it's making usage of the VM unbearable. I'd love things to run smoothly - moving the cursor, opening windows, scrolling etc.

I want to know how to setup xRDP for Ubuntu 20.04 in Windows Hyper-V? Tutorials for Ubuntu 18.04 doesn't seem to work. I am using the ISO that I downloaded.
These are the tutorials I used. They all basically say the same thing...
When I enter 'Full Screen Mode' on an Ubuntu VM in Hyper-V, it shrinks to a very small resolution that isn't usable. I've tried editing the /etc/default/grub file recommended in other Q&As without luck. I previously had the same issue with 18.04, so I switched to server and ssh'd to the VM; however, I would really like to get a useable full screen desktop going in Hyper-V.

I have been running Ubuntu 18.04 in Hyper-V with enhanced mode ever since it was introduced to the "Quick Create" menu and it has worked great. In May Ubuntu announced support for 19.04 https://ubuntu.com/blog/19-04-disco-dingo-now-available-as-optimised-desktop-image-for-hyper-v . When I try to install 19.04 from the "Quick Create" the enhanced mode options are not available. Any ideas?
Is there a way (now or in the future) to install ubuntu-server-64 on a Microsoft Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V?
I tried this quide: http://www.panterlo.com/2010/10/10/ubuntu-10-10-and-hyper-v-r2/ but you're never sure if ubuntu starts or not and if it's up and running the network fails after a very short time.
