Questions[javafx](ubuntu)

I want to install openjfx8 (which is compatible with Java 8) on Ubuntu 19.04. This was available on Ubuntu 18.04, and I had installed as follows: (Refer: How do I get Java FX running with OpenJDK 8 on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS? - Stack Overflow)

sudo apt install openjfx=8u161-b12-1ubuntu2 libopenjfx-java=8u161-b12-1ubuntu2 libopenjfx-jni=8u161-b12-1ubuntu2 openjfx-source=8u161-b12-1ubuntu2

But in Ubuntu 19.04 these package are not available:

$ sudo apt-cache policy openjfx
openjfx:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 11.0.2+1-1
  Version table:
     11.0.2+1-1 500
        500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu disco/universe amd64 Packages

How can I install the old package from Ubuntu 18.04 to 19.04?

I'm using openjdk-8

openjdk version "1.8.0_212"  
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_212-8u212-b03-0ubuntu1.18.04.1-b03)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.212-b03, mixed mode)

and i try to install javafx by:

sudo apt-get install openjfx

but it is not installing any of jfxrt.jar, jfxswt.jar etc. in any of openjdk folders and it should according to this post. What am I doing wrong?

I installed OpenJDK-11 as described here. I ran sudo apt install openjfx

My java version:

$ java -version
openjdk version "11.0.3" 2019-04-16
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 11.0.3+7-Ubuntu-1ubuntu1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.0.3+7-Ubuntu-1ubuntu1, mixed mode, sharing)

But still I get ava.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javafx/application/Application which indicates that the jre cannot find the FX classes.

I have Java 8 and Ubuntu 18.04. I'm using NetBeans and when tried to make some program, it couldn't be done because JavaFX is missing.

I installed Java JDK with NetBeans from Oracle's site and thought everything is included but obviously I didn't check it well.

What should I do, what should I install? I'm not so good at this and don't know if problem is with Ubuntu or Java. :(

I am programming a Java 10 application using JavaFX for the UI.

Under Ubuntu 16.04 the application was sized appropriately. Under 18.04 suddenly the application is scaled to half its size. I need to get it scaled properly.

I found out that the application is ignoring the screen scaling factor that is set in the Settings. I have it normally set to 200%. Unfortunately the application is using 100% no matter what I set the scaling factor to.

This is on my laptop with a HiDPI display. I have searched the web and haven't found out why this java application is failing to adjust with the proper scaling factor.
