I am trying to get the Dark Theme going in Kdenlive on Ubuntu 20.04 and apparently, you need to install kde-runtime package however, there is no such package available:

% sudo apt install kde-runtime

result:

% E: Package 'kde-runtime' has no installation candidate

Anyone know if there is a ppa out there for is package or another way to get this Kdenlive theme functionality working?

Update: I was able to get it working by installing the package kde-plasma-desktop. This may be pretty heavy handed for some folks. Just a warning for those who install kde-plasma-desktop, you must run sudo apt update, after installing to prevent login issues. I did not run an update and I could not log into any desktop until I opened a console using Ctrl-Alt-F3 and running sudo apt update. That was scary!

After installing kde-plasma-desktop, the UI for kde apps now function correctly and the themes render correctly, including the default kdenlive theme.

Would still love to hear of a lighter weight solution for these issues.

I use Gnome desktop and depend on several KDE apps for my daily workflows. I have noticed that since migrating to a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04, all KDE apps have an issue with the mouse right click (context menu). When I right click any kde app, it automatically selects the highlighted menu item and submits when I let go of the mouse button.

The expected behavior is to leave the context menu up when I let go of the mouse button and a left mouse click is required to select an item in the context menu.

Apps I have had this issue with: Kdenlive, Kfind, Konqueror, KDESVN

Is there a way to fix this?

I installed kgraphviewer following the steps here, namely sudo apt-get install kgraphviewer-dev but when I start kgraphviewer I get the error message

/snap/kgraphviewer/2/kf5-launch: line 209: /snap/kgraphviewer/2/kf5-locale-gen: No such file or directory

What can I do to fix the problem? Ubuntu version 18.04.3 LTS.

Some icons are missing from a KDE application (Okular) in Ubuntu.

How could this be fixed?

When I restart KDE, it launches all the applications I opened after restart. How to disable this feature?
