Questions[krusader](ubuntu)

I want to prepend the file modification date in the form YYYY-MM-DD_ to each existing filename (i.e. for files only, not for directories). I have seen that krusader has a multiple file renaming function which in principle allows prepending or appending such information to the existing filename and it can do this for all selected files.

However, since I use it in a Xubuntu 16.04.3 installation with German settings, the file dates are also displayed as DD.MM.YYYY and when I use the renaming function of krusader it also renames them that way.

When I use [modificationdate;yyyy-MM-dd]_ in the part of the dialog specifying to prepend the filename on the second tab of the renaming dialog, it actually uses the modification date but in addition it prepends the current date in the German locale format, e.g.

09-02-20192019-01-04_old filename.jpg

This is complete nonsense, since one does such things to have files sorted by the date expressed in the filename!

How can I suppress the additional placement of today's date (in the example the first 10 characters 09-02-2019)?

I have installed Ubuntu for my dad instead of Windows recently and he really wanted an alternative to his favourite file manager Total Commander, so I went with Krusader which I myself have been using for ages.

However in Ubuntu 18.04 there seem to be a functionality called snaps in place which supposedly generates some loop partitions based on squashfs that get listed in Krusader's media list and by doing so are cluttering up that media list and are giving my dad a headache.

I have found out that one should be able to just remove snaps functionality:

but to be honest I am a little afraid that I can delete something that will cause the system to be buggy. I would rather have an option in Krusader not to show any squashfs partitions. They are not being displayed in Disks or Nautilus and it would be great if I could set it up like that in Krusader too. I did look in preferences but cannot find anything relating to it.

So, is there a way to hide them in Krusader?

I can access my Android phone in Files (Nautilus), but how do I access it in Krusader?

I can type 'mtp:/' in the Location Bar, but I get this error:

"Error: Protocol not supported by Krusader: mtp:/"

What is wrong?

Using Ubuntu 16.04. I like Krusader, but can't figure out how it is possible to change date/time format for the Modified column. I truied to change system regional settings, but Krusader ignores them (while, e.g., Midnight Commander uses system settings). Switching application language (in Help menu) also does not affect the date/time format. I like the 24-hour format, not PM/AM, and I may prefer even to hide time, and leave only date. Is that possible in Krusader?

The other post is of no help, as there is no even such file in mys systems as ~/.kde/env/setlocale.sh

For a task of mine I need to list all the files in a tree (a directory, all its subdirs, all subdirs of those, etc.).

I'd prefer to see them in Nautilus or Krusader, but a command-line solution is interesting as well (in this case I will need files full names, sizes and modification times to be listed).
