I am using Ubuntu 18.04. These are the commands I typed to install lutris.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lutris-team/lutris
sudo apt update
sudo apt install lutris

It said lutris is already the newest version (0.5.10~ubuntu18.04.1).

How do I install version 0.5.9.1 instead?

Can someone please help me I just installed Ubuntu 20.04 and tried to play league with Lutris everytime I try to install I get an error.

Here's what Lutris shows:

I m not able to run the game DCS (Digital Combat Simulator)
Apparently a great simulator, used to train French Army pilots.

This game is available for free in Steam, only for Windows OS. It should be possible to install it on Ubuntu thanks to Steam and Proton (a wine like).
See on this page, some have been able to play it, and some don't.


My configuration:

  • Ubuntu 20.04
  • Graphic Card Nvidia GeForce GT 620
  • Nvidia Driver v390.132

I need Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and I'm hoping to install Lutris on it. When I attempt to install it using a PPA package, the package lutris is not found. The procedure for attempting this is as follows:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lutris-team/lutris
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lutris

When I attempt to download a TAR of Lutris and then to run its Python executable bin/lutris I encounter the error ImportError: cannot import name '_gi' from 'gi', in spite of the fact that the Python module gi is already installed.

So how might Lutris be installed on 16.04?
