Questions[pbuilder](ubuntu)

I'm trying to submit a deb to my PPA according to this manual:

I'm able to build my app with bzr builddeb -- -nc -us -uc and to sign it with bzr builddeb -S. But execution of pbuilder-dist groovy build myproject_0.2.8-1.dsc in ../build-area fails.

I believe that the problem is in following piece:

Determining if the CXX compiler accepts the flag -fno-keep-inline-dllexport failed with the following output:

So, cmake is checking that /usr/c++ supports -fno-keep-inline-dllexport. Compiller ends with 1 bcs it doesn't support it, cmake returns 2 and dh_auto_configure painics.

If I execute cmake on my system I'm getting following stdout:

So even compiller on my system doesn't support -fno-keep-inline-dllexport. And I'm fine with that. It doesn't matter for me. cmake not fails.

It looks that the failed check of non-mandatory feature by cmake ruins whole pbuilder-dist process. Are there any way to change this behaviour or i'm missing something?

P.s. My build-depends are: debhelper-compat (= 13), cmake (>=2.8.9), gcc (>=4.6), qt5-qmake (>= 5.4), qtbase5-dev (>= 5.4), libtiff5-dev (>= 4.0.3), libjpeg8-dev (>= 8c), libpng-dev (>=1.6.2)

I am trying to set up a chroot environment with pbuilder. I tried this but got the following issue.

I have tried importing that key with gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys A507B2BBA7803E3B, but that did not change the output of sudo pbuilder create --distribution focal.

I have also tried this answer, but the command

sudo pbuilder --debootstrapopts --keyring=/etc/apt/trusted.gpg --distribution focal

does not help, it only outputs how to use pbuilder.

How to fix this?

I am setting up my machine for Ubuntu development. I am following Ubuntu Development Beginnings, but while running sudo pbuilder create command I am getting below error:

Can someone please help me to resolve this issue and set up pbuilder for creating a clean chroot environment in Ubuntu 20.04?

I have this 862MB base.tgz image which is taking a considerable amount of time to decompress on every pbuilder invocation, I've read that there exist a cow alternative who keeps the files uncompressed so I'm willing to start using it, unfortunately I don't remember exactly the steps to recreate this image, so I'd prefer to convert it instead of starting from scratch. Is there any method to do so?

Often I need to create packages which another package depend on (i.e. build dependencies). Instead of having all those packages first being build in my ppa (which can sometimes take some time), I would like to use the results directory from pbuilder as a source for the pbuilder itself.

How can I do this? Can I do this via a hook?
