I'm using bluetooth mouse A4Tech BT-630 in Ubuntu 20.04. Each time I go afk the mouse goes to sleep and when I click any mouse button to wake it up the natural scrolling setting I've set previously is not restored.

Interestingly that the switch is still "on" in the System Settings app but the scrolling is reverse to natural in all windows. In order to fix this I have to switch natural scrolling setting to "off" and then back to "on" in the System Settings app. That only helps until the next time mouse goes to sleep.

The solution described here didn't help in my case. I hope someone have other ideas which may help me to overcome the issue.

When I use gpm with a mouse in a TTY (ctrl+alt+f1), it allows mouse movements with a blinking cursor and such but scrolling with my mouse wheel doesn't cause any visible changes. How do I enable scrolling with my mouse in a TTY in Ubuntu?

Edit: My Ubuntu version is 19.10.

most of the time I do an Alt+Tab (switch windows), go from browser (chrome) to Visual Code and vice versa, mouse scrolling misbehaves, it jumps to somewhere in the page, either way down the current scroll position, or way up, any thoughts on what's going on?

My friend has Microsoft Wireless Desktop 850 with AES (PY9-00001) Ubuntu 18.04. The scrolling speed is too fast, but if he removes the USB dongle and plugs it in again, it fixes the problem.

He's on a dual booted PC, and every time he boots Windows then boots back into Ubuntu, the problem is back.

How can we fix it for good?

The problem only occurs after soft reboot only.

I recently upgraded from 17.10 to 18.04 and the horizontal scrolling is inverted. Natural scrolling does not affect it in any way, suggestions on how to change it back? (swipe rigth to go left)
