Questions[tomboy](ubuntu)

In a fresh install of Ubuntu Mate 19.04 (64 bit) when I try to install Tomboy this is what I get:

$ sudo apt install tomboy
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
Package tomboy is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'tomboy' has no installation candidate

sources.list has the Universe repository (as by default), packages.ubuntu.com shows it's not available, and apt-cache search comes back empty and I can't install it.

Is Tomboy completely gone ? Is there another way of geting it in 19.04 ?

I'd appreciate any suggestions on this, I couldn't find previous reports of this problem.

I want to export my Tomboy notes to the Evernote web service, I have seen this web site but I don't want to send my Tomboy notes to an untrusted site where they may be put to unknown use.

Is there any other way?

I heard that Tomboy is being removed in Ubuntu 12.04. I use it extensively and since it is connected to Ubuntu One I figured they will have a new way to sync notes. right? I'll be very very sad if I lose all my notes.

I used Tomboy on a previous installation, however the Ubuntu One sync had stopped working (I had upgraded through several versions of Tomboy, and during that time I believe the storage system changed... possibly the reason).

Now I would like to migrate the notes to my Ubuntu 10.10 installation.

I tried adding tomboy in System -> Preferences -> Startup Applications, but this causes the "Search All Notes" window to appear every time I log in. I just want it to run in the notification area so that I can use it later via hotkeys or its notification area icon popup menu.
