Questions[top-bar](ubuntu)

I am aware Unity is no longer the default desktop and is replaced by GNOME desktop starting 18.04 LTS. Since 15.04 I have been using Unity.

Now I want to use the default GNOME desktop for 18.04 LTS but would like to get my application menus in the Top Bar.

Menus: File, View, History, Tools, etc from applications that I use, I cannot find anywhere. Instead I have one option in a drop down which is generally "Quit".

There must be a default secret somewhere that lets me customize my user experience to some degree as the 18.04 LTS developers envisioned. Where is it hiding? How can I get my needs met according to GNOME developer design.

Since the update to 18.04 from 16.04, i see top bar with date and time only on the primary screen of my notebook. On the other screens the top bar is not shown.

Another anoying thing is i see only the actual weekday and time of the day. I would like to see the whole date with time without clicking on it...

I've searched along by google but i didnt found a solution...

Before my update from Ubuntu GNOME 16 these were even more annoying in the left down corner.

Is there a way to move the top panel to the bottom in Gnome 3? It is very annoying to have this panel at the top, because then I have to aim for the close button when I want to close a window. When the panel is at the bottom, I can simply throw the mouse pointer to the corner. Big usability issue.
