My brother gave me his laptop to install Ubuntu alongside Windows 10.

First of all, I've separated an area for installing Ubuntu and make bootable USB using Etcher.

Then Made three partition as follows:

swap area
ext4 for '/'
and an efi System partition

Then I've Installed the Ubuntu.

It installed successfully. But when I restart there appears a grub shell and says:

error: no such partition.
Entering rescue mode...
grub rescue> _

N.B.

• The hard disk is partitioned with MBR format. And have already three drive for Windows. I don't know how extra three drive is created during Ubuntu installation!
• The system supports BIOS and UEFI. I have installed in both mode but same output...
• I've also tried installing ubuntu by creating only one partition. But it warns me to create an Efi System Partition otherwise it may fail to boot.

And now I can't boot into Windows also.

I tried to change the size of my fonts. Now the font is looking ugly. I can't change to previous form. See how ugly it is looking!

I am using KUBUNTU 18.10. What should I do?

Generally when I run a dpkg or apt-get to install a package it copies some files to specific locations. Such as the mpv files is coppied to these locations (got by trying dpkg --listfiles mpv):

Now I want to install a pkg let xyz_1.23.deb to custom locations such as ~/xyz. Is it possible that all files needs to operate the xyz will be stored in this location?

This is a screenshot of my bangla font in Akregator in KUBUNTU 18.04. I don't know which font family for bangla is being used in my system. This font is seems ugly and unreadable. I am using English(us) as my system font. Here is a screenshot of my font setting.

This method results only a part but not on whole system.

How can I change only the bangla font style system-wide?

I tried to install Anaconda using following commands:

what is the problem?

I was using Ubuntu 16.04. There it was so easy to change the text entry option. Settings > Text entry.

But when I switch to Ubuntu 18.04 I can't find such option. So how can I write in another language? How to change text entry i.e. by super+shift or something like that?

The question is clear from title. Can I run Android app on Ubuntu directly like ? (wine).

If Ubuntu and Android both have Linux kernel then why can't we run Android app directly or with help of any other little software?

How can I know what packages(i.e. *.deb) are needed to install a software (in terminal).

Suppose that I want to install VLC fully via terminal. If I run the following code then it will install the VLC along with other needed packages. It will download all required files and will store in /var/cache/apt/archives.

How can I know what other packages(i.e. lib***.deb and like this) except the VLC(i.e. vlc_2.2.2-5_amd64.deb and like this vlc**.deb) are needed to completely install VLC(or any other software) before running this commands(without INTERNET)?

The reason is because in my country the cost of Internet is high. So I want to check if the required files are present or not in my PC(i.e. previously downloaded or not! for any other software).

the upper code is from VLC media player installation on Ubuntu 14.04

I am using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

On my system tray on upper top right corner where the date is located, the date is showing শুক্ র instead of শুক্র. And time as 11:23:27 অপরাণ্ হ instead of অপরাহ্ন. So, complex words are showing separated.

I ran

Output came:

Some words are not showing correctly, for example (গ্রাম) is showing as (গ্ রাম) .

mentioned that I am using ibus-avro as Bangla typing software.
