I have Ubuntu server (no GIU) version Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS and an trying to install a program 'parsefsh-1.0-g231'.

I have downloaded the file and de-compressed it fine, now I need to compile it, so have tried 'make' but get the following error..

(there were more lines with different maths functions but I've removed them to shorten this message)

It looks to my No0b eyes an issue with the maths functions, I've done some Internet searching and a recommendation was found to try the following...

gcc projection.c -o projection.o -lm

but this gives me an error

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/5/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu/crt1.o: In function `_start':
(.text+0x20): undefined reference to `main'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Now I'm stuck and can't really find any other answers on the Internet, can anyone help please?

So i have the normal Firefox Quantum65.0 installed on my Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. I want to install Firefox developer edition.

I have already tried:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/firefox-aurora
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox

But it simply re-installs the normal firefox. So i tried:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-desktop/ubuntu-make
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-make

And when i run umake web firefox-dev i get Choose installation path: /home/me/.local/share/umake/web/firefox-dev And when i press Enter i get the following error:

I wanted nodeman as dependency for react-native

no error upto ./configure command and it works fine as given solution

according to its solution, I deleted directory but it gave same errors.

Following the last question "how to install netbeans from umake?" I have the simply question:

which version of Ubuntu Make should I use - from APT or from Snap?

Note for close-voters: we have illustrations that Snap version of Ubuntu Make is broken, so it is not opinion-based and is on-topic.

I was experimenting with ubuntu-make and can not figure out how to specify path for installation so that it does not ask me every time I install something.

This is kind of a workaround:

echo "\n" | umake ide eclipse

Is there a better way to do this?
