I have an Ubuntu Server (20.04 LTS) running on a Hyper-V host.

But I don't have any information from the Hyper-V host. The only thing that I know is that is effectively a hyper-v host, because my network administrator told me that it is a Hyper-V.

Can I get some information from the Hyper-V from inside my vm? (I have full access to the vm) For example the hostname or the ip-address? Or where the Hyper-V is running in my network?

I have enabled Screen Sharing on my Ubuntu with the default settings (Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS). My Ubuntu tells me I have to use the address: vnc://ZABBIX.local

But when I try to connect with VNC Viewer I get the error Invalid endpoint: port not correctly specified. What do I wrong? I had used the default settings on my Ubuntu. Can a firewall cause this issue?

I had read that VINO is the default vnc server and that you don't have to install something else? But how can you configure VINO?

What can I do to further diagnose this problem?

I want to log messages from my Snmptrapd to a logfile, but my deamon don't understands the logOption token?

I try to use this line in my configuration (/etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf):

logOption -f "/var/log/snmptrapd.log"

But I get this warning:

/etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf: line 3: Warning: Unknown token: logOption

Does anyone know which option is valid? And how to log to an external file (and not the syslog).

I am using NET-SNMP Version: 5.7.3 and Ubuntu version 18.04.3.

I am new to the SNMP protocol. I try to configure SNMP-traps for Zabbix but I am confused what daemons I have to use. I need to install snmptrapd, but somehow snmpd is required for that:

sudo apt install snmptrapd
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
The following additional packages will be installed:
  snmpd
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  snmpd snmptrapd
0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 75 not upgraded.

What is the relationship between these 2 packages? Am I right that these 2 are daemons?

And what is inside the Ubuntu SNMP-package? What's the relationship between the snmp and snmpd packages?
