So I rebooted my system after an update and upgrade. Now my raid is missing, all of my network settings, programs, etc are "missing" I think they are all in the missing raid. I have to use ip to add an ip and dgw before the system will come online. My username doesn't seem to exist anymore so I have to use root to sign in. My home directory is in the raid for sure.

Not really sure what else to say. When I try to install software I get error status 1 with no real output. I didn't see anything helpful in the logs. Any ideas? I have literally my whole life of files on there (7TB) so I'd rather not lose them if I can help it. That's all I really care about.

I have gotten my profile back now and the raid is assembling and mounting. I can connect to the net by using dhclient -r && dhclient

now when I try to update I get

Went into tty mode and force removed python, left tty and ran dpkg --configure -a (no errors) then I ran update but got a python error. Installed python again and updated, had 900+ packages that need updates now (they didn't before all this) and so far they have been running alright.

However; I did get this message and I assume it has something to do with the root cause.

I have a Ubuntu server at home with a static up and domains pointed to it.

I would like to allocate a folder to be used on the Home network as a shared folder where anyone on the network can read write and execute.

I have experience with SSHFS and a little bit with NFS and I’ve been trying to find information about how to do this but I haven’t found anything useful. Most of the systems that will be accessing the drive are windows. However I have some Linux machines that will be as well. So I assume I need fat32 formatting with the vfat filesystem.

My question mainly is what kind of software do I need to do this? I would like for it to show up under network places automatically.

I posted this question before but I guess it wasn't clear the way I wrote it or something. So I deleted it and here it is again with as much info as I can think of.

I created a server using old computer parts of a dell dimension 2400. I installed Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS with Linux 4.15.0-72-generic kernel. I installed mysql-server, apache2, certbot, pyton3, python-apache-certbot, php7.0, ssh, vsftpd and then forwarded the required ports for what I installed to the internal ip. (192.168.1.23).

Then I setup a wordpress site on the server. The problem is I setup the virtual host file (can be seen below) but for the site to work I have to use the network internal ip for the site to load.

Here is the virtual host file:

Keep in mind this is the working virtual host.

When I change this to the domain name (domain.com:443) as it should be it doesn't work.

(Same issue on port 80.)

Do I need an internal dns or is it something else?

I tried installing bind but either I botched it up horribly or it wasn't the case ... or both ... leaning more toward both honestly.

anyway I hope this is enough info and someone is able to shed some light on this. I would like to be able to host another site on this server.
