I have installed ranger file manager and rxvt-unicode terminal, and I want ranger to display previews of images in the terminal. I have also installed w3m, but I can't get images to preview. I think this is an issue for w3m, because when I load webpages with w3m, no images appear.

edit: w3m will now display images when i load webpages and images, but ranger does not preview....

I am running Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS x86_64 I think I need to get urxvt with pixbuf support, but I have no idea how to get that. I have tried searching to find out how to get urxvt with pixbuf support, but only results for arch etc. is available it seem like.

I am trying to access my sd card from a guest OS in a virtual machine using VirtualBox. I have followed some instructions on how to attach a virtual hard drive to the VM (https://superuser.com/questions/373463/how-to-access-an-sd-card-from-a-virtual-machine/458085), but when I boot the guest OS, It won't boot and instead this message appears:

"FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted."

When I exit the VM, go to the settings of the VM and detach the virtual hard drive, and boot it again, the guest OS boots perfectly normal.

I found my own, super stupid solution:

I went into my VMs settings > storage, and instead of selecting the virtual hard drive at the right of "Controller IDE", I detached it and attached it at the right of "Controller SATA", have no idea how this worked lol!

I am trying to enter BIOS settings on my Lenovo Desktop PC, but I can't figure out how to do it! I have entered it before, because I had to enable Intel Virtualization Technology, but I don't remember it to be so hard as it is now. I have tried to use the keys that is specified for my machine on Lenovos pages, but it won't work. When I try to press for example F1 repeatedly, I just enter grub menu, which I don't normally do on regular bootups.

As well as this, when the grub menu pops up, I am not able to use my keyboard to navigate here, and I don't know if this have something to do with this.

My system is a Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 72, running Ubuntu 18.04, in case that helps.

I have recently installed i3 in Ubuntu 18.04, and I have started configuring the status bar at the bottom of the screen. To do this, I copied the file /etc/i3status.conf to ~/.config/i3status/ and changed the name to "config".

The problem I have is that when I check gnome-system-monitor, the values do not match. In gnome-system-monitor, it says 2,7 GiB (73%) of 3.7 GiB, but in my status bar, it says 3,7 GiB total (which does match), 1 GiB available and 2,2 GiB(60%) used, which is not the same as 2,7 GiB.

I am very new to this window manager, and there might be just some simple thing I don't understand.
