Yesterday I installed some games, by using both the package manager and the software center. Some games are now properly installed, but their launch shortcut icons do not appear in the 'Games' section of the applications main menu.

Is this a problem with my OS installation, or it is a lacking feature of some packages I downloaded?

However, I would like to see all the games I downloaded appearing in the 'Games' category. I am looking into folders and hidden folders to find their desktop configuration files.

It seems that here there are no questions and answers related to this precise issue/bug.

How to (easily) change Lubuntu applications menu icon?

I checked this question here on askubuntu.com, but I could not find any answer.

I am still trying to find a simple way to do that.

Today I was using my (old) Compaq laptop where Lubuntu is regularly installed on a partition. Suddenly, it stopped to respond to any inputs, so I (wrongly?) decided to restart the system.

After the logo Lubuntu had shown in the end of the booting process, the screen went black, the line

Stopping System V runlevel compatibility

showed and the two following messages

Asking for cache data failed 

and

Assuming drive cache: write through

repeatedly appeared. My laptop was stuck there and the operating system did not start.

I have been looking for some advice on the Internet during this afternoon, especially here on askubuntu.com, but it seems sadly that nobody has encountered exactly the same type of error. I am still working on that. If you have any ideas, please reply to this post.
