If I highlight a sentence using Evince Document Viewer, it gets highlighted.
But after highlighting when I click Ctrl + S (that is save), it is giving pop up for saving each-time. Then eventually I will have to click replace each-time to save in the same PDF (screenshot below). This does not make a logic as we want the highlight to be saved in the same PDF without it asking each time.
How to just save without these kinds of prompts? I like Evince reader otherwise very much.
I wish to access AskUbuntu in the terminal for seeing questions and their related answers.
My use case is this:
AskUbuntu is an excellent source of learning Linux. But I will have to continuously shift between my browser and terminal every time for seeing the site and learning by typing commands in terminal.
So I wish to atleast browse through the questions and the associated answers from the terminal (My requirement is not to post a new question in AskUbuntu from the terminal, so I don't even require to be signed in). In this way, I can see and type in the terminal itself.
Is it possible?
Aware that pdf can be read into the terminal using The Poppler Developers tools.
One of the tools which helps in checking for a pattern in the pdf and then printing in the terminal is
pdfgrep
Suppose say, I am interested in the word "Happy" in a set of PDF files in the current working directory. I also wish to get the context in which Happy word has been used in all the PDFs. We can use the following code to print 2 lines above and 2 lines below the word 'Happy' in all the PDF in the directory using the following code
pdfgrep 'Happy' * -H -A 2 -B 2
Now my question is not this. I want to highlight the word Happy in all the PDF present in my directory through the terminal
I am adding the required output to make things more clear.
In the attached PDF which is one among the many in the directory, I need this kind of output to be made.
Any ideas on ways to execute this?
