I was using linux kernel 5.0.4-33 generic and 5.0.4-31-generic.

But after some time i needed to reinstall the 5.0.4-33-generic kernel because it was giving me initramfs error during boot. After reinstalling the kernel boots perfectly without errors but the there is no wifi option there while wifi works perfectly for 5.0.4-31-generic kernel.

I am using Realtek8723de driver.

i tried following these instructions

but the latest commit of Larry Finger's rtlwifi_new repo says

"if you are running a kernel newer than 5.0, use the drivers built into your kernel."

But this is not the case it seems. There is still no option for wifi

I have installed MySQL workbench from Snap Store and MySQL server 8.0 using apt. The server is running fine and I can access MySQL shell from terminal. But I am having issues connecting the Workbench to the server. I'm getting

        Cannot Connect to Database Server

Please:

1 Check that MySQL is running on address localhost

2 Check that MySQL is reachable on port 3306 (note: 3306 is the default, but this can be changed)

3 Check the user root has rights to connect to localhost from your address (MySQL rights define what clients can connect to the server and from which machines)

4 Make sure you are both providing a password if needed and using the correct password for localhost connecting from the host address you're connecting from

There no field for entering password. It shows two options store in keychain and clear. On selecting store in keychain it prompts for a password, and I enter the password. But then it shows an error:

Could not store password: An AppArmor policy prevents this sender ...

I am using ubuntu 20.04 focal 64bit. Pre installed network manager is giving me headache. It suddenly drops wifi connection. On scanning again it shows no visible network. The input command

lshw -C network

gives output

while searching for the solution i saw WICD solves the problem but how do i install on my laptop. INPUT

sudo apt install wicd
