EDIT: the generalized fisheye solutions do not work, so this is not a duplicate, because 360 fisheyes aren't mere lens distortions but require a complex equirectangular stitch that is not a simple process.

I take pictures on my Android phone, and I have them synced with Google Photos, which puts them on other devices immediately via the cloud.
How do I enable Google Photos to automatically sync to my Ubuntu laptop hard drive?
I'd like to watch youtube videos with a small video down in the corner without a lot of wasted space on the screen such as title bars, address bar, bookmarks bar, scroll bar, etc.
Everytime I do-release-upgrade it disables my PPA's I need, so I need to re-enable them by checking the box in Software & Updates. A few releases later, I now have a jumble of various channels for these re-enabled PPAs (artful, bionic, cosmic, and even debian ones like jessie etc in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/)
I get no errors or warnings about this. But it feels wrong deep down in my soul. Counsel?

Is there a way to get 5.1 Surround Sound in Netflix? I have it working for other media already, so the surround sound drivers are fine (pulseaudio etc), but Netflix plays in stereo. Works fine on Windows & MacOS (this is a Triple Boot desktop system)

Teamviewer keeps flickering in Ubuntu Unity 18.04 remoting from Windows
In Ubuntu 18.04, Audacity is in a loop, where no matter what location I type into the dialog, it keeps saying
Audacity could not find a safe place to store temporary files.
Audacity needs a place where automatic cleanup programs won't delete the temporary files.
Please enter an appropriate directory in the preferences dialog.
In 18.04, I installed ubuntu-unity-desktop package, and restarted and logged in with Unity, and whenever I drag a window it goes an ugly gray color (and doesn't wobbble, with wobbly windows turned on). Strangely, maximizing and minimizing does make them wobbly.
I'm on the latest (PPA) nVidia drivers and Compiz Config Manager has animations and everything turned on. It worked fine in Ubuntu 16 with the same setup.
Notably Unity transparency/blur also doesn't work.

All my drives seem firmly connected, with no jumpers, most are SSD but some are IDE. I have like 6 drives. One is a Hackintosh (Mac GPT drive) and another is Windows. One SSD is connected via eSATA

Microsoft's Photosynth (uploaded via iOS app) website exports to *.pano. Facebook now supports 360 degree photos natively. How would I work with the metadata and/or view these 360 degree panoramic photos?
Oracle website seems to imply it only works on 15 and 14. http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/
Also two of my Ubuntu 16.04 machines don't seem to be able to connect (Access is Denied errors for root)
It installs okay. It opens okay. But it won't connect to localhost.
Anyone have any luck?
After upgrading to Ubuntu 16.04, I noticed mysql was having mind-boggling errors. Convinced, it was a broken setup, I tried running a purge of mysql. That didn't seem to delete everything, so I tried doing it myself:
sudo rm -r /etc/mysql
sudo rm -r /usr/share/mysql-workbench
sudo rm -r /usr/share/mysql
sudo rm -r /usr/share/mysql-common
This was a mistake. Don't EVER try to do this. Now mysql won't even install correctly. I've tried reinstalling the dependancies:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall $(apt-cache depends mysql-server | grep -Po 'Depends:\s+\K[^ ]+$' | tr '\n' ' ' )
And the packages themselves:
sudo apt install mysql-workbench mysql-server --reinstall
But I get all sorts of cryptic errors, such as:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall mysql-server

Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 reinstalled, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Is apt unable to recover from a partial install? Do I have to reinstall the OS??
On Windows it works fine with this setup, so it's an Ubuntu issue. I am running HDCP capable HDMI cables to an HDCP capable TV as a dual monitor from an HDCP capable graphics card.
Google's Chromebooks do not have standard keyboards. Ubuntu has a Mac layout, but no Chromebook layout. Help!

Tested in Ubuntu 14.10 (Chrubuntu, not Crouton) on Intel HP Chromebook 14.
I hear the official package xkb has layouts you can edit in a complicated manner, but it is not clear how to map the new keys such as the "search" key.
