On my Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS System I changed from the preinstalled Libreoffice to Libreoffice from Snap (libreoffice-6.4.1.2-snap1). Trying to reinstall the Zotero Extension I realised, that accessing /opt is not possible, showing this error:

(soffice:14679): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: 11:14:38.709: Error creating IO channel for /proc/self/mountinfo: Permission denied (g-file-error-quark, 2)

In Software I set the permissions to connections on removable media (see here), running as sudo is somehow not possible, changing owner of /opt doesn't help. What can I do?

I am running Ubuntu 16.04 and using a mobile broadband Internet connection over a Nokia E51 cellphone. Now the phone died and I wanted to get another dumb phone (no smartphone!). But I don't know how to figure out what is needed in the phone to be working as a modem? Specifically I am looking at the Nokia 3310 3g.

I am running on Ubuntu 12.04 and would like to run an application on startup, in a maximized terminal, selected. I solved all problems exept the last one. so for now i have

gnome-terminal --maximize -x /home/user/myapp

which runs the application in a maximized terminal, but it is never selected that inputs are possible. the system should work without keyboard and mouse (only barcode scanner)
