I updated my Nvidia Driver on my Ubuntu 24.04 using the command:

sudo ubuntu-drivers install

because it was stuck on "Continue using a manually installed driver", and all other options were greyed out.

After updating I didn't choose any drivers thinking that the system would choose the driver and restart the system. After restarting, the internet option isn't available in the control panel and the settings menu. I have connected to the internet through Ethernet cable but still, the internet isn't working.

Now the system is using the "X.Org X server" driver which is shown in the Additional Drivers window:

I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers using the command sudo apt remove --purge nvidia* and restarted, but no use. Since there is no internet, I cannot download new drivers to fix this issue.

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04 and I have connected a monitor to my laptop. After locking, the screen goes blank after 10 seconds which makes the monitor looks empty. So I wanted to keep the lock screen alive so that it can show the time and the wallpaper in the monitor.

I always keep my playlist running in the YouTube music or Spotify and the song name and controls appear in the top panel when I'm working. But when I play a YouTube video in my browser, the player controls will change to the video that I'm playing right now.

The problem comes when I play the video and want to pause the music, I have to go to the respective source and not from the top panel since it is not showing anywhere. It will get changed once I open the music app window. Is there any way to show those multiple audio player sources in the top panel?

I have tried several extensions to achieve this but failed.

UPDATE: I just found that it happens when I use multiple audio sources within the same browser. I have to use the browser since there is no YouTube or YouTube Music software in the App Center.

I have recently updated my Ubuntu from 23.04 to 23.10. I was trying to take a screenshot using the Flameshot software (which has been my default screenshot software for a year) while a top panel item was open but it is not taking any screenshots. By "top panel item" I mean the calendar and notification section and the quick menu in the top right corner. There is no issue with taking screenshots with all that closed.

I found none of the configurations and settings that might help the Flameshot software. The native screenshot application in Ubuntu works fine but I need to use some marking and selection tools that are not available.
