I have firefox from ppa on kubuntu 22.04. Now I want to install firefox esr additionally. Without mixing up with the already installed normal firefox. There is a thread here already but it doesn´t say how to do it....;)
edit: snap is not an option because the plugin I want to use on it only works with firefox-esr installed via apt
I'm on to produce an audio CD and I have here the master-CD (produced on another UBUNTU system) which will be sent to the manufacturer. Before I want to make a copy.
There is CD-Text on the CD and none of my approaches in copying the CD-Text also was successful. I tried disk to disk copy with Brasero. Raw-mode copy with k3b. And I tried to write from the bin and cuesheet (the CD-Text is in there!) and it's working all flawless, no problems with the audio, but without writing the CD-Text.
Any idea how to get this done?
Is it possible that this is a hardware issue concerning my dvd burner?
Kubuntu 20.04 is starting very slow. Ich have an ssd and I know it was faster some time ago. With dmesg -T I can see a delay of 20 seconds at this point:

This is my terratec ews88mt soundcard. I googled but I only found the android chip driver. There, in line 910, is the condition for giving this output, "if rpcm=pcm"
Besides of this start delay I don't have any issues with the soundcard, it's working well. Any idea how to fix this?
I use Evolution 3.36.5-0ubuntu1 in Kubuntu 20.04 to do my mail traffic. It worked all fine besides of some irritating asking for passwords sometimes. I deactivated the KDE password manager kde wallet and it was better then.
After migrating to a new harddisk, Evolution asked for keyring password at least ten times, then it worked properly for 2 days. Now it won't connect anymore. I suppose it's some issue with the gnome keyring but I don't know...
I used the dd command to migrate my whole system to a new disk:
sudo dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdc
Same os, same installation. I had some trouble with UUIDs and lost the configuration files of my file manager program but now all is working fine like before. Except the mail program Evolution that seems to have a password issue.
I don't use auto login.
In /home/sebigbos/.local/share/keyrings/ there are 5 files named:
login.keyring:
Standard-Schlüsselbund.keyring
Standard-Schlüsselbund_1.keyring
Standard-Schlüsselbund_2.keyring
Standard-Schlüsselbund_3.keyring
The latter 3 of them have date and time that Evolution stopped working. Can I delete them?
The 2nd one seems to contain audio program configuring data - that's quite weird.
I tried to get some free space on my system partition. I found a lot of installed kernels and I deleted some. I have 2 questions:
I still have kernel 5.4.0.100 low latency. Shouldn't the normal update procedure using the program discover (Kubuntu) update my kernel to newer versions automatically? Or do I have to do this manually?
