I am trying to configure a Ubuntu server to automatically log in on boot.
I have tried to edit the /etc/gdm3/custom.conf
file, but that did not allow me to autologin.
I have unsuccessfully tried to get X-server working with my laptop. After this didn't work I tried this older post from a person with same laptop model as me (Samsung q330) Can't use Nvidia GeForce 310m in Ubuntu 13.04
Unfortunatly when I run the optirun glxgears -info
I get this:
[ 504.481883] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: Could not load GPU driver [ 504.482007] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.
I am at an dead end. Unless someone can bring the "magical solution" I have to make due with the integrated i3 Graphics.
Edit:

I am trying to get my dualshock 4 controller up and running on my Ubuntu 15.04 Laptop. I have previously (About a year and a half ago) used ds4drv without problems on the very same computer (It' s been reinstalled a few times since then).
Now nothing works with it, neither Bluetooth connection nor wired, so I am stuck with playing the games that have native Dualshock 4 support. When I run the ds4drv command I get 5 different errors from 2 files. I don' t know how to resolve these errors though. (See the picture).
I have a 120 GB SSD in my laptop, and it runs windows 8.1 (not preinstalled). I have countless times dual or triple-booted the laptop when I ran Windows 7. Now I want to dual-boot it with Win 8.1 and Ubuntu 15.04, but Gparted and the Ubuntu installer wont let me re-size the sda2 partion for it to happen. I know I have about 35 GB of free space on it, and my plan is that Ubuntu should have around 20 GB, so that I still have room for various downloads and temp files on Windows.
Just a short question, I made a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 yesterday and I have installed CompizConfig Settings Manager and ubuntu-restricted-extras, but I am still unable to enable wobbly windows. What do I need to enable it?
When you run Ubuntu as a live boot you are able to install programs etc. without a password, but when you have installed it you have to choose a password and you have to put it in everytime you want to do something system critical. Can you make an install without any kind of password? I am very aware that it is a lot more safe to have the password, i´m just curious :)
Im trying to get my friend to try out Elementary OS Luna (based on Ubuntu 12.04) but the problem at our school is that the wifi dosen't support Linux, only Windows, Mac and Android. Therefor I get my internet by connecting to wifi from my phone (Galaxy S II) and then thethering it to my computer. Can I do the same with an iPhone 5?
I have Ubuntu 13.10 and I would like to change the default searcher in Unity from "Computer and online sources" to "Applications" (Screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/Rc7Q3) I haven't been able to find any settings regarding the default, only filter results settings. I hope somebody can help!

I have a Windows 7 64 bit installed in Virtualbox on my Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit. I have network running in both, and I would like to share my (Home\Dropbox) folder on my Ubuntu with Windows. But I haven´t been able to find guides on doing this, so can anybody help? I have set the Dropbox folder to share via Virtualbox with Full access and Automount, but I cant find it on the Windows.

My computer, a Samsung q330 with a Intel® Core™ i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53GHz with 4 GB RAM, runs Unity in 2D mode. I have tried to see how to activate 3D mode, but I cant figure out how to do it and I am in doubt whether or not my laptop acually has the power to run it in 3D mode. Can you help me find out about that?
How do I set the bootloader so that in my dualboot with Windows 7/Ubuntu 11.04, Windows start up as standard instead of Ubuntu?
