I've disabled ipv6 according to the description in: http://askubuntu.com/a/484487/229026, (As far I know, this article should also apply to Ubuntu 16.04) but netstat -nautp is still displaying the following entry:
tcp6 0 0 :::22 :::* LISTEN 1289/sshd
Does this mean that ipv6 is still active?
The command: cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/disable_ipv6 displays 1
I've runnting a ubuntu 12.04 and a 14.04 instance. If I call the uptime, the instance of version 12.04 returns: 65 days and the one of 14.04 returns: 112 days(!). I want to know the meaning of the (!) sign. Is it just specific to ubuntu 14.04 or does it have a special meaning?
Right now I installed ubuntu 12.04.3 server which I want to access via ssh. For that reason I created a private key which I moved to
/etc/ssl/private/
I'm just wondering why there already is private key ssl-cert-snakeoil.key in there. Where is this private key used and can I delete it?
