I have installed Ubuntu server with the latest patches, and I switched to AT+T, and I suddenly was unable to resolve external sites from inside of a Docker container.
How to resolve this?
I noticed that AT+T switched to using ipv6 by default when I did a simple ping:
$ ping debian.org
PING debian.org(mirror-csail.debian.org (2603:400a:ffff:bb8::801f:3e)) 56 data bytes
This is pretty cool, but my Docker containers are now broken regarding networking.
When nordvpn is installed on Ubuntu Linux, and I try to print using Cups, I find that printing to my networked laser printer always fails.
Disabling nordvpn:
$ nordvpn disable
Allows me to locate the printer with Cups and to print as per normal.
What command do I need to run on the command line with a modern installation of Ubuntu to get printing working?
I tried to whitelist port 471 and 631.
I also whitelisted the IP address that I am on.
All of these measures failed; currently my only printing option is to shut off NordVPN.
I have a Docker container as 19.10 as both the host and guest, and I tried to install gcloud:

Given the normal install on eoan, I'm failing to install sqlite3. What gives?

As per the title. I'm running the latest Ubuntu 19.10, and I have the standard hplip packages installed. I was able to configure my printer on the network so that I can ping it. Additionally, at times, jobs do go through.
However, they do not got through in a reliable manner. There's no way on the current HP Device Manager UI to release the jobs. They are just marked as "On hold" in the status bar.
But I can release them using CUPS in a browser with the standard localhost:631.
My question is, how do I get the jobs to print reliably so they are never held?
Please don't tell me to: turn it off and on nor to re-install nor anything else that's trial and error.
I'd like to know precisely why this is an issue, and how to fix it.
I'm willing to try any and all diagnostic commands and to print the results. Also, lmk if you need more information.
NOTE: Yes, I know I should have taken a snapshot of bpool. This would have solved this whole problem, but I forgot to do this.
I installed Ubuntu 19.10 as a clean install with ZFS on a whole hard drive.
I a few changes to /etc/default/grub:
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=menu
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet acpi=off splash"
I ran:
sudo update-grub
sudo grub-install
Then I rebooted.
At this point, I was dropped into the grub command line. There were no menu entries, and my system is unbootable.
I'd really not like to re-install as I had already customized my system and moved lots of personal data onto it.
I ran an Ubuntu rescue disk to fix this. I was able to mount my rpool and bpool partitions and chroot into them, but update-grub and grub-install did not find my current Ubuntu root and did not populate grub.cfg.
I had read that os-prober was a problem:

Also, grub-probe fails. Running:

Any ideas on how to make this system bootable again besides re-installing?
I downloaded the official Ubuntu ISO for version 19.10 and I used unetbootin to burn the USB stick.
I was able to get to the grub bootloader, and I was able to choose the Live Disk option.
Then my screen turned light black and hung for over thirty minutes. My keyboard lights go dark.
My hardware is running on a standard Z97A motherboard.

I had previously booted Debian from USB and installed it was well as other operating systems.
lubuntu similarly fails to boot.
I had tried Ubuntu in failsafe mode, and I had tried both the standard and failsafe installer modes as well. All give me the same black screen.
