I have installed darktable from Ubuntu software center (not the snap package). darktable opens without the maximize button in the title bar as shown in the image below:
What is wrong here? I have tried switching the position of windows titlebar from left (default) to right. Still there is no maximize button option. The absence of the maximize button makes it difficult to fit the application in one workspace. Is maximize button not available for this software?

I have downloaded the stremio installation file from this website. On unpacking the .deb file (in Ubuntu 20.10 64 bit machine) it gives the following error:

To resolve the error or fix the missing dependencies, I ran the command sudo apt -f install. However this command does nothing other than just uninstalling the broken stremio installation.

I have recently upgraded Ubuntu 19.10 to latest LTS Ubuntu 20.04. After updating, I get serious artifacts on my screen. Every time I reboot (or log-in), my screen is fuzzy or scrambled (picture attached):
This is temporary. The fuzzy screen goes away when I change the background. But it reappears the moment I reboot or log back in.
I have Intel HD Graphics 520 (Skylake GT2).
The output of lspci -nn |grep -E 'VGA|Display' is:

Update:
On enabling Wayland in Ubuntu 20.04 and logging in to, these artifacts are however cured.
This is okay for now, but I am not sure about Wayland as I have not yet used it before.
Is there a way to correct the graphic issue with normal Ubuntu startup?
There are lot of similar question (and corresponding solution) on this error here. However, I do need a fresh solution to my problem. I am using Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit machine with python 2.7.

Following this command, I tried this

I also tried to install a package after removing the .deb files from /var/cache/apt/archives/. Still it prints the same error.
Any solution to this would be very helpful. For now, I am not interested in updating my Ubuntu 16.04 to latest version available.
Recently I have upgraded Ubuntu 18.04 to Ubuntu 19.04. After the completion of the upgrade, I get the following error when I open the terminal

I am using Ubuntu 18.04.02 LTS. Today after starting the machine, I am unable to start Google Chrome. The version is latest as downloaded from Google. It prints an error as follows:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I have tried reinstalling google chrome, and trying the answers as mentioned in the following link Google Chrome not starting ("Aborted (core dumped)")
The problem is same if I install Chromium. As of now nothing works. Fresh installation of Ubuntu to me is a big headache. Can anyone help and provide some answers.
I am using Ubuntu 14.04. With Skype Linux version 4.3.0.37 when I try a conference call, my friends can hear me, but there is no video. They receive a notification saying I need to upgrade Skype. There is no problem for a simple video call. Both audio and video work perfectly. I have downloaded Skype from http://www.skype.com/. The Skype website don't have any recent updates for Linux distributions.
Any help on how to solve this?
I have installed Teamviewer 10.0 (32/64 bit multiarch version) on Ubuntu 14.04.
When I bring up the Proxy config window (Extras -> Options -> General -> Proxy Settings[Configure]) all I can do is select is No proxy or Use manual proxy.
So when I choose Use manual proxy, there are fields to enter the proxy IP, username and password but they appear as read-only fields. I cannot type the numbers at all.
I have tried restarting both TeamViewer and Ubuntu, but there is no success.
I am having a problem using wired connection for Ubuntu 13.10. The problem started suddenly. However I was able to solve it using the answer given in the following post:

It worked perfectly. But now again I am unable to connect to the internet. I tried using the same solution but it was of no use. I have reinstalled the driver for Realtek Ethernet Controller (r8168 ==the latest version) using the answer given in this post:
Wifi and Ethernet connectivity problems after upgrading to 12.04
But these solutions are not solving my problem.
