In MS Word you can Ctrl+F to search a typographical object (sign(s), letter(s), word(s)). A full list of the results is displayed in the left pane (search-engine style: enumerated, with context, and location [page]), so you can have the full picture of a given search in your document without the need to flip pages. Is this possible to display a similar list of the results in the Libre Office Writer? Being forced to look for the highlighted results through pages again is very unhandy in the large documents.

Why is it impossible to type (or find) the Russian city's name (e.g.: Moscow, Yekaterinburg) in All Settings > Time & Date > Clock > Choose Locations of Ubuntu 14.04.5 using Cyrillic script (кириллица) (Москва, Екатеринбург), while there is – simultaneously - no problem with finding Shanghai (City) or Hong Kong, using hànzì (汉字) (上海市, 香港), even without Chinese language support installed?

I have proper input sources (keyboard layouts) installed, but Екатеринбург is not on the list, only: Yekaterinburg. To find New York City though (not Chinese, yet), you can simply enter 纽约. Why is Нью-Йорк not treated equally?

I made a bash script which can tree a whole directory structure recursively, putting into every directory a HTML file generated by the aha. The script read the list of directories to be indexed. find search for every directory inside the directory and generate the complete list of directories. If directory /media/veracrypt1 contains 50 directories in the hierarchical structure, tree makes a tree of everything in the given directory and "below", write the HTML file with the recorded tree structure inside the directory, then goes down, repeat the action down to the bottom.

I would like the script to be fired on the defined time by the cron. The script works but the colorization does not and the output of the pipe is black on white. I believe it is the result of cron not having access to the LS_COLOR system variable. (This is what I suspect)

How to correct the script to make it produce the desired effect?

The vital fragment of the script:

Can VeraCrypt use persistent mount points on Linux?

Windows + VeraCrypt + encrypted volume absolute paths

On Windows I can mount veracrypt encrypted partitions/disks via batch script which employs device name displayed by mountvol.exe. Such an attribute is highly useful since rebooting can lead to alteration of relative path (\Device\Harddisk1\Partition3 --> reboot --> \Device\Harddisk3\Partition3).

Linux + VeraCrypt + encrypted volume relative paths only?

I have no knowledge about the existence of parallel command to Windows' /v \\?\Volume{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}\ avaliable for the Linux commandline. I tried (in vain) --mount=/dev/disk/by-uuid/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx flag, since mountvol.exe volume name is (probably) based on UUID number (imperceptible for blkid, though). Official veracrypt/truecrypt documentation allows Linux user to operate only with relative (variable) paths (/dev/sda3 --> reboot --> /dev/sdc3). Due to inconstancy, paths have to be verified each time after the OS is loaded.

My bash script for mounting veracrypt volumes on Linux (shortened form):

mountvol.exe recognizes GUID, not UUID as was written above.
